InVoction on Indefinite Hiatus
After the conclusion of our 2011 season, the director and members of InVocation have decided to put the group on indefinite hiatus. Our thanks, however, is neverending to all our concert attendees over the last 6 years for your support of InVocation, our mission, and our charity partners.
InVocation would like to send a grand shout-out to our fabulous audiences last weekend together we’ve raised almost $1500 for House of Charity to provide meals for folks in need!
There are still two more concerts to go come and join us to carve out an evening of peace in this season of frenzy. We promise good choral music, excellent bars and coffee, and the joy of doing good together.

InVocation Welcomes Another New Member…
…which means that our tenor section is finally complete! Mark Doerr actually joined InVocation officially in November of 2007 but we didn’t think it was fair to make him learn all of our Christmas music in just a couple of weeks. However, some of you might have met him already, as he graciously offered to help pass out programs at many of our concerts last Christmas. Thanks again, Mark! We’re looking forward to a great Spring with you! Learn more about Mark on our “Singers” page.

“...and the Rockets’ Red Glare...”
InVocation had the pleasure of singing the national anthem August 6th at the St. Paul Saints game against the El Paso Diablos and the Saints’ 6-2 win sent the Diablos scrambling home with their forked tail between their legs!
Feed My Starving Children Charity Partner for 2007-08
Next year, InVocation will partner with Feed My Starving Children, a local organization that packs and sends nutritious meals to people in Guatemala, El Salvador, Haiti, Nicaragua, Tanzania, and many other countries around the world. An entire meal from Feed My Starving Children costs just 15 cents and 94% of their funds go directly into their food program! In 2005, nearly 75,000 volunteers packed more than 15 million meals. There are currently three sites where volunteers pack meals in Brooklyn Park, Eagan, and Chanhassen with plans to open five more sites by 2008. We are very excited about this upcoming partnership and hope concertgoers will be, too.
